FO: Aperture scarf

This is my first FO post. Drum roll please. Meet Aperture, my new scarf. The pattern is the Easy Eyelet Scarf  by Susan Druding via Raverly. Hope you like it as much as I do. I did not have enough yarn to make the scarf as long as I wanted but it covers my neck and I can even tie it. Not every scarf is created equal.

This is a great beginners pattern. Knit, purls and yarn overs repeats until you call it a day or run out of yarn. I would love to wear this scarf with a dress like this one from Anthropologie.

Weekend update

Was your weekend too short? Mine was. Somehow, I managed a visit to the playground with my daugther, a nice lunch at a Cuban restaurant, an ALTA tennis match and some knitting.

I finished another scarf. It is the Easy Eyelet Scarf pattern by Susan Druding; a.k.a. "Aperture" in my house. Pictures to follow in another post. Again, my weekend was too short.

It's time to wrap up with this idea. Find more uses for recycled jars here.

Awesome knits paired with beautiful styling. I adore everything over at Little Birdie Designs.

Purple dream

I am not sure if is the cooler weather or because is the color of the yarn on the needles; whatever the reason, I am falling for purple. I would not mind having any of these tops in my closet.
Blueberry Dream

Almost done

The blueberry waffle scarf is almost done. A couple of rows, some unraveling, more rows, blocking and voila! I have been enjoying knitting in the end of the summer. My knitting essentials these days: lemonade, brownies, and family (not in that order). Oh yes, an easy project and nice yarn does not hurt.

Curling not allowed

I found this pattern a little too late. The garter stitch border prevents the scarf from curling. Remember my blueberry waffle scarf? It is curling like there is no tomorrow.
