Staggered rib WIP on sleep deprivation

Last week was quite busy at home. I knew my daughter would get sick at daycare. What I didn't know is that she would have an ear infection every three weeks. I didn't know her ear infection would mean runny nose or sleep deprivation (or both) for me. No complaints. I am just putting it out here: I am very naive first time parent.

There was some knitting this week. Can't remember when or how did that happen. But there is a picture to prove it. I cannot force myself work on complicated projects these days (re read paragraph one). So, I'm in "accessory mode". Without further delay, here is my Staggered rib scarf. This is a really cool pattern designed by Suzie Blackman. Details on my raverly.

Totally random, but close to my heart...did you watch the Australian Open men's final? I really wanted that trophy for Rafael Nadal (Vamos Rafa!). But Djokovic played amazingly well. He deserves the fat check. What about football? Are you getting ready for the Super Bowl? Will you knit & watch or eat & watch?

Have a great week and happy knitting!

  1. Hi Monica! I'm sorry to hear about your little one. Hope all is well soon. As for your accessory mode, I feel like I am always there. I'm knitting a sweater, but I tend to love those instant gratification projects. Your scarf is looking lovely! And about the Super Bowl, probably eating, knitting, and watching! Haha!

    1. Thanks for stopping by! I cannot wait to see some pictures of your sweater. Is this the Delancey KAL? Are you ready to cast on right after the Super Bowl?

  2. The stitches in this scarf look great: chunky yet delicate. I may have to check out this pattern next time I knit a scarf - thanks for posting about it.

    1. Thanks for your words Andi. Yes - I need to remember that kids don't come with instructions. She is feeling better; medicine is working.

Let the Super Bowl countdown begin...! Happy week.
