Friday is for handspun

This is my second handspun!  It went much easier than my first try - which I  have not shown here yet. By the way, the owner of this blog doesn't follow rules or order - if you haven't noticed before.

Fiber: Targhee
From: Emmett Dyeworks at the 2012 Royal Alpaca Challenge (Stone Mountain, Georgia)
Wraps per inch (WPI): 9
Yarn Weight: worsted
Yardage: ?? (oops, I misplaced my tag)

The colors remind me of the ocean back home. The Caribbean sea that I took for granted so many ears and now I miss so much!

What to do with the handspun? Common sense is yelling at me to get the yardage before selecting a pattern. Right side of my brain is dreaming to cast on a cowl.

  2. So pretty. I've just made my first "proper" handspun after my beginner skein (of which no mention will be made - ahem). It's in pretty greens too! I think I will be making mitts with mine.
