There is still nine days between now and July 26 when Erin will take the hats to the NICU at Piedmont Hospital. Please pray for this family; knit a hat if you can! It would mean so much for you and a family in need.
Honoring Amy
After doctor and ER visits, repeated doses of medicines and some rest: I’m back! All is well now. We (baby and I) are getting better
from skin allergies, reactions to medicines and viral bronchitis. I don’t want to
turn this post downhill…so let’s get to knitting really fast.
This post, from Erin of Eat.Sleep.Knit,
touched my heart in a way I cannot explain. Erin
and Dan’s desire to honor Amy is admirable. I wanted to take part of this
tribute no matter what was going on in my neck of the woods. Here is my
contribution – with all my love.

Welcome back love. I am so sorry to hear you guys have been sick. It does not bring the post down to hear about what had been going on with you. I am just really glad you are on the mend.
ReplyDeleteThank you for letting us know about the preemie hats. That is just devastating to hear about. I had a friend who went through the same thing about years ago and I can tell you getting that call from her at the hospital was beyond heartbreaking. Those are lovely hats you created my friend. You have a brilliant heart.
Knitting for charity helps me put in perspective how fortunate have we been. I just wish these hats could bring some comfort to a family suffering from having a baby in the NICU. Thanks for always showing your support, my friend!
