Don’t get me started on the possible color combinations. We will need to get coffee over that long conversation.
I got creative with yarns from my stash:
- lace section: Malabrigo Rios (Worsted / 10 ply / 100% Merino)
- stockinette section: LB Collection SW Merino (DK / 8 ply / 100% Merino)
The combination of lace and stockinette makes it harder to notice that I am using different yarn weights. Clever, ha? If you don't find it clever...that is okay; we can still be friends. Project page: here.
What WIP is keeping you busy this week?
Wow ! Absolutely gorgeous ! I love the rich colors. I have peeked at this pattern before. I may move it in front of a few projects. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and for your comment. I can't recommend this pattern enough. I loved knitting it and like how it fits.
DeleteI have this pattern queued. I have to say ... yours is tempting me to move it to the forefront of my to do list.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and I really, really, really love the colour combo you've used. If you hadn't said, I would not have known the yarn weights are different. Thanks so much for sharing.
Thanks Nicky! Cast on; you cannot go wrong with this pattern.
DeleteI'm in love with the colors you chose!
ReplyDeleteI've been on the hunt for a nice worsted yarn for the Rye socks. No luck yet, but I was distracted by some pretty dk and fingering weight pieces, so I'm working on the toe increases for one of them. ;]
Hey Britney!! Thanks for stopping by. I've seen your FO sock pictures. Love them!
DeleteWow what a pretty combination of colours. You will love wearing that sweater. I am working on a Mystery KAL from Through the Loops.
ReplyDeleteThanks Christine! I've been following up your blog but for some reason got errors and couldn't leave comments on the last two posts. Meant to send an email about that. I mostly ready with my iPad-not sure if that has something to do with the tech issues. Have a great Sunday!
DeleteI always think you are clever no matter what. But this is quite a beautiful and clever knit, Monica!
ReplyDeleteOh Andi, you are too good for me :-) Thanks for stopping by. xoxo lots my friend!
DeleteThis looks beautiful! Gorgeous colors together! :)
