There is not a design from Carrie Bostick Hoge
, of Madder, that I do not like. My current work in progress is Liv --a lovely light, open cardigan. The pattern is part of Madder's Anthology 2: Simple Preasures. It can also be purchased
as a single pattern on Ravelry.
Sometimes I fail to read the pattern entirely before casting on. No wonder why I experienced some hiccups with "at the same time" instructions. There is nothing complicated with the design. One must pay
some attention at the raglan and center increases.

On this holiday weekend, I have been cuddling with my family, eating delicious food and trying new beers.
Beer tasting: Ybor Gold Amber Lager distributed by Florida Beer Company and Estrella Damm, brewed in Barcelona, Spain and distributed by Damm S. A.
What a beautiful red yarn. I totally know what you mean about paying attention... My "Little Wave" cardigan (in progress) has no elbow patches, partly because I knit too far ahead.
ReplyDeleteDesign feature!? I guess the bright side is that you can identify your cardigan anywhere, anytime! Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteBeautiful! I think I'll spend a few hours now looking at her pattern page... You'll have a wonderful cardigan when all's done!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kate. Hope you liker her patterns as much as I do.

ReplyDeleteThanks Christine!
DeleteThat's such a great color! The cardigan is going to be beautiful. I always forget to read the pattern before jumping in-you'd think we'd learn by now!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kat. I wish I can say lesson learned...but, who knows? :-)
DeleteNot reading a pattern through completely and therefore missing instructions? I'd NEVER do that *whistles innocently* I love the bright red colour that you're working with!
ReplyDeleteI"m with everyone else, that red look great! What yarn is it?
ReplyDeleteSounds like my kinda party!! Yarn, amazing patterns and beer! What's not too love? And just so you know ... I don't read the patterns in entirety before starting either. Hopefully one day we'd learn. LOLOL!
