Lately, garter stitches have been more than pleasant to me. I can understand why others think is the most boring thing ever. Is true you will not do the Tom Cruise's couch jumping act with this project. This is a no brainier do your stuff until you fall asleep kind of project. And for the record, I can think of a million things even more boring that garter (nothing personal against my dentist).
This past week my husband was out of town. My toddler slept well. I had too many nights staying up until wee hours, five days forgetting to set the wake up alarm (that is HIS task) and, an entire chocolate cake. I will need some more chocolate to recover.
Hope that next week you (and I) remember to set the alarm and have plenty of opportunities to play with nice yarn. Happy knitting!
I totally understand where you're coming from about garter stitch, sometime your brain just needs some relaxation!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting Erin! I've been checking your blog a lot. Love the new hat. So cute!
DeleteI don't think the garter stitch is boring, I quite love it. It is like therapy for me. That is wonderful that you are knitting Batkus because I was thinking of casting on the Lacy one. Now you made me want to cast it on even more with your lovely.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great weekend and that it is filled with tons of chocolate! :)
Happy Monday Andi! I can see a very beautiful lacy baktus in your future with the most amazing yarn ever. I've been admiring your stash in Flickr. Just give thanks that I'm not your neighbor...'cause I would be stalking you and your yarn every single opportunity. No worries for now. I'm still working on my plane/flying phobia :-)
