FO: Madeleine (finally!)

It has been more than a week since I showed up here in the blog. The past weeks have been eventful. We had family in-town, celebrated our daughters second birthday and Mothers Day - all the same week. The days after turned a bit dark for my family. We lost our Grandmother last Saturday. Although we already miss her a lot, we are convinced she is in a better place and not suffering anymore. Time and memories help us move forward.

As usual knitting, photography and family time have made tough times less difficult. I have finished a few projects and will be posting them here as I photograph & play with my new toys: a tripod and remote. The husband got me the gadgets (and a pair of shoes) for Mothers Day. Another reason for loving this guy so much - he knows me so well! What's for you? Well, in the ideal world, you should see better photos here in the blog. There are no guarantees but the best intentions.

Photos of the day are for my Madeleine. I have finished it sometime ago but did not manage to take pictures until now. Did I tell I'm in love with this shawl? Love the color, yarn and its drape. I can wear it as a shawl or as a scarf. Details on my raverly.

Hope that you have a wonderful weekend. If you are in US, take advantage of the holiday - remember, be thankful and knit some.

  3. Simply stunning my lovely friend! As usual you photos are just amazing.
I am really sorry to hear about your Grandmother. It is such a huge loss when they are gone, but sometimes the fact that they are no longer suffering helps ease the pain a bit. Take care of yourself and give that beautiful girl of yours a huge happy birthday hug from me!

I'm so sorry to hear about your grandmother, but it does sound like you're looking at it in a healthy way.
