This is my first pair of socks. There is nothing fancy about them. They are far from perfect. Yet, I like these socks so much! Never in my life would I thought about knitting socks until I "met" Andi, from
My Sisters Knitter. Her socks are such an inspiration that one can not just sit and admire. One have to give it a try.
Details on my Ravelry
project page.
I am joining in Tamis Amis Fridays FOs. Have a knitty
weekend!
Nothing feels as good as wearing your very own hand knit socks. It feels so decadent to spend so much time and money on your own feet. Welcome to the sock knitting club!
ReplyDeleteIs a wonderful club to be part of. Thank you Chrissy!
DeleteYay Monica! Love seeing your socks. These look so comfy and wonderful. Beautiful job. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you friend / master sock knitter. xoxo
DeleteAwesome! The fact that you made them yourself is an extremely fancy thing. And they look very comfortable!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by! I love your Gentlemen's sock using scarps! Very clever and beautiful.
DeleteI think your socks are perfect (and I must know) ! :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend. Regula
Awww...thanks so much! Have a great weekend.
DeleteThey look great! I would have never guessed they were your first pair (and while I'm not a knitter, I'm a crocheter...I don't see any mess ups).
ReplyDeleteThank you Heather! Crochet is on my bucket list. Being able to crochet a single granny square would make my day :-)
DeleteThose socks look very cosy!! And really good for your first pair too :D
ReplyDeleteThank you! :-)
DeleteNicely done! They are very cute! Yes, Andi always knits beautiful socks! Now to many more!!!
ReplyDeleteThank Maryse! I'm already looking for patterns for socks no. 2!
DeleteThese are fantastic! First pair? You are a natural born sock knitta :o)) Truly though, gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteHaha. Don’t be fooled. I think it was beginners luck!
DeleteI'm so glad Andi pointed me in your direction today, I spent a lot of my evening researching sock patterns on Rav last night. You have just ended my search, yay! Congratulations on your first pair, they look brilliant.
ReplyDeleteKate.
Thanks for stopping by and your kind words! I also found your blog thanks to Andi. I highgly recommend the Knit Pick's Sock Class videos on You Tube as they helped me visualize what I needed to do. The link to the videos is posted in my ravelry project page. Good luck!
DeleteThanks Monica, will do!
DeleteCongrats on your first pair of socks! Watch out...they're addictive. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteGreat first socks! Definitely worlds more successful than my first pair. :)
