Enough rambling - let's talk fiber!
I am making a good dent on my Gemini. This pattern had been on my queue too long. It was about time to cast on. A summer project knitted in the summer sounds like a good idea.
Two squares done and a third in progress. I can't wait to see the firsts Bertie's blankets done.
The yarns: cotton & linen blend for the top and superwash wool & nylon blend for the squares.
I'm looping in with Tami's Amis WIP Wednesdays!!
(Edited to be "calendar correct". No worries, is still June NOT July)
Pretty Gemini. Makes me want to knit one. In fact I have the perfect yarn in my stash...
ReplyDeleteThank you! Is a relatively easy pattern; just keep an eye on the lacy section. You will be able to knit with your eyes closed once you reach the 6 in. mark.
DeleteOkay, you gave me a fright saying it was mid-July ... I thought holy cow where did I lose all those weeks :) The yarns for those variegated squares are gorgeous - very Noro-like (but softer)!
ReplyDeleteYour loss is my gain!! Thanks God someone is paying attention :-)
DeleteThe yarn is Patons Koy Socks- very nice fiber content & price.
Gemini is gorgeous. And thank you soo much for the additional squares. I am seaming the first blanket right now... it is a beauty and I am thankful for all your help my friend xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks Sam! The blanket is going to be so gorgeous! I'm super excited and happy for this milestone. xoxo
DeleteBeautiful knitting. Love the colors, they are all so calm and refreshing.
